Question Wraith-Motor, ESC and Gearing for Speed

I know there is a lot of threads on this but i would really like to make my Axial Wraith go fast I don't really care much about the rock crawling. Now that I have a custom Wraith just for crawling. I would like to be able to keep up with my Brothers 1/16 slash it goes 75mph aprox. So about that would be nice waterproof is a must since it can get very wet where I am but i am happy to waterproof things if i can't get it all waterproof. Also what gearing i should have for the speed and so i don't ***k it all up. i would like to run 6s lipo but as long as it runs 3s I'm happy. Links would be much appreciated. my budget is up to $350-$400
Thank you
Jezza

If u want speed and water resistance id go with the vxl3s system on 3s. It'll really fly lol

Flat out not going to happen. You are not going to get a wraith to go anywhere near the claimed 75mph of that mini.

If you want that kind of speed go get something better suited for the purpose.

A VXL on 3s isn't even going to break the 40mph mark. I've ran it.

Still not going to hit 75mph and you won't be keeping the car together for very long.

Sell the Wraith and get a touring car. Just because the 1/16 slash and wraith both have 4 tires doesn't make them equally capable. That's like asking how to make a quad copter as fast as an edf jet just because they're both capable of flight.

Any vid of that 75mph slash? Mine is nearly uncontrollable after 20-25mph...

Seriously you need to look at this realistically. The Wraith will not stand up to 6s power with a Pro4 motor. Even upgrading all available parts will not get you there. You are looking at the wrong car to achieve your goal. You are not going to have a vehicle that is capable of the speed you are claiming this 1/16 will do (which on it's own sounds far fetched at best).

He was saying 14t pinion and a 56t spur, in 32 pitch.

You should look in to a 1/10 slash and you Will be able to smoke the 1/16 in every way

Man, like Harley is saying you're barking at the wrong tree if you wanna go even near the claimed speed of your brother's mini-Slash.

Heck, I have a 1/10 E-REVO Brushless Edition with the Mamba Monster and Castle Creations 2200 kV and when geared accordingly you can get it to + 60 mph when running on 6S.

So to even think of going even faster than that ???
I doubt it, I very highly doubt it !!
