You can probably tell the gas tank is homemade...styrene, the nozzle is a shelf holder with a small molly.

It was my second crawler..after the XR10 F$/@k Face

Nice basher! In one pic I can see your CC BEC

A request; could you post up a couple pics, one of your electronics in the box you made and a shot under the hood. I'm build a wraith kit and this is what's got me perplexed. I'll be running a venom lipo up front with my electronics in back. Just not sure how to mount everything.

Cheers,
Doc

Doc....my electronics box is packed and it was very hard to get it all into the box...rcvr, light controller...not sure I want to undo it. Yes, my BEC is under the dash and the feet of my driver...I mounted my MMPRO under the fuel cell in the back and ran the wires under the interior to the battery pack in the front.

I waterproofed it all with liquid electronics tape...including the sensor wires on the brushless motor and the MMpro. Consequently not too confident with that...not gonna dunk it...but might run it thru some wet...

Hope this helps...let me know

NAh, i couldn't tell the gas tank was homemade form the first set of pics...

In the last close up pics i could tell and its still a really cool tank. i love the allen screw heads.

So Greg? does the wraith have 2 speeds? does it come as a two speed originally?

Fast is good...very good...till you hit a curb or wall....i love a smashing feeling in the morning...its like VICTORY!!!!

No two speed...you could put one in...but my guess is that it would make a mess of the passenger seat.
I learned a long time ago NOT to run a quick car/rig around any curbs...they don't mix well. Even when we did parking lot racing with the on-road cars...curbs were a long ways away

Hallo Postclanker!

Thanks a lot for the tips on big bores, I ordered them and waiting for delivery.

So far I ran first Gmade piggy back with some satisfaction but for the leakage, maybe I have to try a better way to tune them...

Then I felt the need to get more flex to bring my wraith to a more performant crawler and I tested Integy 128mm

The new shocks do not leak and hold up very well, I used level 3 drop kit (not the nicest though....) and have plenty of travel/flex that ensure great crawling ....though this increases also side rolling and poor side hills stability so now I am after big bores to try to set a correct length to be able to do bot crawling and little bit of rock racing as well...

Here a pic of the latest set up

I do not want to ruin this topic with my rig, next will also to redo the rear flat bad since I want to make it look cleaner and narrower....

I don't list down all the hop-ups I used however my wraith is pretty stiff And bullet proof for my motor set up ((HH Crawlmaster PRO 13t and sa well i have a Torque master pro 35T)

Thanks Postclanker for hosting my reply and for your suggestions and support!

As soon as am satisfied with the progress of my wraith I will start my own topic!

That looks very nice Slim...I would like to see the rear end better when you do your thread...it looks real interesting.

Side hilling might have everything to do with the foams you have in your tires and not just the shocks. The weight of your wraith also...I know mine is a bit heavy. It side hills pretty good but it's low to the ground and that helps.

Those big bore shock will stop your leaks...mine have never leaked. I like your wraith...don't wait to do a build thread....do it now and people will help you with questions as you go....

Thanks ! Yes foams are crucial for side hills as well, I have just tested the CI double Duce comp cut on both pitbulls RB2 6.0" and Proline super swamper TLS 5.5"

So surprised about how much the foams do on performance and grip!

Unfortunately as you can see from the last pic I did not manage to mount my tires on proper wheels because they are 0.8" wide and the comp cut is meant to work with min 1.0" wheels.... So I just used some axial plastic 1.4" (!!) laying around just to test the foams.....great anyway, now waiting for 1.0 new wheels

I would love to start my thread ASAP, and try to do it maybe posting slowly but it would be great to benefit from somebody else's tips and experience!

If you do not mind I will post few more pics of the rear just to let you see the concept which I am working around, though I might be reallocating everything in the front (now I have ESC and BEC in a box in their rear, but I could have trimmed the box I used to make it smaller and fit nicer...

Thanks

Greetings from italy!
