| Smoking Motor
First of all I wanted to see what motor you guys are using. Right now I'm running the stock 20T motor. Its has enough speed and really good for rock crawling but not so much for going up hill as I learned that this past weekend. I need a motor that can climb up hill and not burn up in the process. I know the gearing has a lot to do with it as well and not sure what number gear to get. So I just need want to know what is the best motor and gear setup. |

Here is the place to start your research. Choosing a motor and ESC for your Wraith - Gearing Added! You need to decide if you want your Wraith to be a crawler or a fast rock racer. That is going to determine the type of motor and gearing. Since I do mostly crawling, I run a Holmes Hobbies CrawlMaster 13T with about 5:1 gearing and a HH BR-XL ESC. It crawls great and has ok wheel speed for the trails that I run on. |
