Hello again I tried posting this question yesterday, said admin. had to review it, never got posted,,anyway started a wraith build and the left rear axle shaft (short) is a 1/2 mill. too long preventing the lockout from aligning with the axle housing. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Papa

I just read the thread mentioned,, I'am curious why in Feb 2013 I purchased a wraith kit from a high volume dealer, with a defective shaft that surfaced 2 years ago, shouldn't Axial have filled the "pipeline" with new shafts so there $300 kit can be assembled per there instruction book without having to modify there factory parts???

Not everyone has the issue. They may have fixed it. You could have gotten a kit that was manufactured before the issue was even brought to their attention. Out of everyone I know personally that bought the kit never had a problem.

Also make sure you have installed the .5 mm ring in between the locker and ring gear... Call Axial and tell them your problem and they will have a new axle set out to you quickly... I had the same problem and less than a week later, new shafts |

I had to wait a week for the hobby shop to get a shipment of kits in from Axial. I have worked in manufacturing for 28 years, and if one of my bad parts that I had to "reengineer" surfaced 2 years down the road,I would be out of a job. I know,,I have no insight on Axial,s QC dept. or how things transpired and should give them the benefit of the doubt. I'am done venting thanks for listening to an old school engineer.
