It is 100% stainless steel. Will not rust. Not irony stainless but real stainless.
It mounts using the existing body mount locations on the side doors.

"HELPS keep you from high centering" It is not a magic worker, however it is a hard metal, which in my testing slides better on rock than aluminum, or plastic. Both of which gouge and hang up quite easily.

Evan here is a pic i just took of the skid after sitting for a week. real stainless steel doesnt rust. The cheap stainless that most grills are made of rusts. because it has other metals in it.

Just add a non-chloric, silicon-based kitchen lubricant on it.

All kidding aside he does have a valid point about steel sliding better vs plastic and aluminum.

It is 22G but you will not have any issues with the strength. It is pretty stout. Im pretty sure butter is the only TRUE method of eliminating High centering haha

Im thinking more about dents in the skid maore than anything. Come down hard on one of the edges and it will bend..distorting the shape. Yes it looks real nice but I would want one out of 18 Gauge myself...Just sayin.

I think it would help sliding over rocks. From the side view I like the looks of the bgr sliders personally

Dostradamas it is made of 22G 304 stainless.

Pita. I made it 22G to keep the weight down. It is extremely durable in its current formdue to the small surface area of the flat areas. And there are tons of companies making aluminum panels for these trucks that are just as susceptible to denting and it doesnt bother most ppl. Seems a bit nit picking to me.....just sayin.

Ok Ill nit pick....give it to a guy that bashes and crawls. If it stands up to a REAL test ill eat crow. I understand saving weight on these trucks but not on pieces that take the hardest beatings. I am seriously not trying to be an A-Hole but like you I work with stainless and aluminum all day long. 22 Gauge is easily formed and easily bent, I am seriously saying its a good looking skid just make it thicker...

P.S. My name is "Pita" by the way.

haha Pita i just thought about that... I dont think you are an ahole BTW. I have one on my personal rig and It has held up to some serious stuff... Plus lets be realistic.. when you fall that hard, you never land on the piece you bought to protect your truck.. it is always the 150 set of beadlocks or the vanquish $60 links that take the destruction. hahaha. I have yet to dent mine but I will seriously consider thickening it up on the next batch.. if feedback says it should be...

In my 20 years selling industrial pipe, valve, & fittings, 304 SS will rust if subjected to a wet environment. Generally you need a 316 or higher to avoid rust from just atmospheric water.

LGFab, I think some folks might be a bit confused about this being a "replacement" skid. This skid looks like it simply bolts on the outside of the existing skid. Any contact with the rocks will simply smash this skid into the existing skid plate and should result in no deformation...

I like it! Nice work! I used to build links on my comp trucks out of SS for the same reasons you built this skid out of this material....it wont easily gouge and slides well.

Thanks Jeremy! It is a Bolt on. Not a replacement. I can say that I have not seen a bit of rust on any 304 piece I have had made.
