Default CC BEC Wraith Wiring Question

So I have my BEC hooked up and when I plug in the battery power comes on to only my Steering Servo...no power to the ESC. I have to turn on the ESC's Power switch to get power to the ESC. I thought after hooking up the BEC the power switch would no longer work. I have a servo extension in place that I trimmed the red wired out of so no power comes into it.

Is this normal? Everything still works fine, I just thought the power switch would no longer be needed....

Yes the on/off switch will still work unless you cut it off and solder the + and - together.

The CC BEC is powering your receiver which will then power the ESC and Steering servo plus however many other channels you have.

Well that is how I have my CC BEC wired....some use it just for their servos and it is wired a little differently.

Thanks Man...so you have Your power wires together then??
Is there any benefit to just running the BEC to just the servo?

I think dont think there are advantages really...but i think it is good to have the option. I have been running a 120 dollar high torque servo at 7.2v through the reciever. I am going back to the 6v low amp esc bec to run the reciever and dedicating the external bec to run a 18 dollar high torque servo at 8.5v to get the best out of it.

In all my rigs I cut the switch out! I open the ESC and solder a piece of wire across the switch wires. I have OCD so for me I hate having loose wires from the switch dangling even if they are soldered together.
