haha nice I will wait to hear from you about the tires to see how they work. I also have a set of rc4wd iroks im getting this coming week so they might help a lot. also going to weight the front more and put some in the rear wheels. and I should also have my 7980 servo this week.

later today I broke the driveshaft coupler in the scx10 so its out for a few days, but I need to get a set of bearings for the axles to build my spare set to start the new 1.55 truck

it was great to meet all of you today, will meet up soon im sure.

So I've been running my new wraith pretty hard and the stock motor is finally done and the stock servo is close to spitting the main gear out, haven't had much time to do anything but I do have a list going of parts that have been ordered and going to order some more today will try to add a few pics I got from terrorizing people at the beach last weekend

i have cut my tires to, i did the smaller outside lugs on both sides of the tire, as well as the smaller center lugs. similar to (fiona's cut rock crushers) i have not tried them out yet but should not stay so full of wet dirt now.

x2 on what motor your going to go with? i just ordered the tekin roc 412 3100 and the mmp along with steel transmission gears. also blew the scx10 idler gear last night so both trucks are dead for now.

nice motor and esc... where you going camping? my esc, trans gears will be here tomorrow and the motor the following day. im interested to see how ours will compare now. we will have the same esc, but you have the redline 21.5 and ill have the roc 412 3100. what voltage gearing you planning on running? i think i am going to end up at 14/56 but waiting for a super shafty top shaft down the road. and for voltage it will be 3s and when i buy some 4s i will try those

if you dont mind me asking what did you pay for the esc ? and what was the price on the motor?

i paid $213.00 shipped for my esc and steel trans gears for both wraith and scx10, along with 2 packages of hpi bushings for the wraith diffs, i think i also got a 14 tooth 5mm pinion gear.

ill let you know exact cost tomorrow when i get my invoice and parts.

Yea I wound up putting them in the wraith tonight, for some reason my reverse seems slow but forward seems all right and it has good torque and OK speed from what I have seen so far, kind of curious why my reverse sucks though lol

jordan, your mmp is set at 50% reverse from the factory.

how did you set your slipper up? i have mine a little loose, on the dirt its great but if i run it in the living room on the carpet, you can hear it slip for a second and then it takes off like a bullet. so far nothing has broke. i have stock drive shafts with brass tubing inside and out. stock spur gear and a 14t pinion. im running the proline titus wheels and tsl's right now so its lost a little top speed due to tire diameter but im worried the stock wheels being pin mount will not hold up with the roc motor.

I have already used castle link and changed my settings around and yea my slipper is still tightened from stock I never loosen my slippers off because then it will just spin in a pinch so I always tighten them, my wraith is all stock except the brush less system and I didn't have any issues with it when I was camping, gonna get some more parts this coming weekend for it

haha i agree with you jordan, my wraith has been used quite a bit. i did however just rebuild my scx10. (the green new bright jeep i had out at canoe beach) its now going back to a 1.9 truck with stock axles. just waiting on getting a transmission for it. i have the wraith axles under another scx10 frame with the drive train from the jeep. i just got a 4s battery for the wraith and wow.... it don't drive to well to say the least. i have since changed the gearing to 87/16 and probably going to stick with 3s as the 4s is just stupid unless your wanting to race in straight lines lol

WOOOO!! Today i beat the living sh*t out of my wraith at Harolds park and the margaret falls trail. its bone stock escept it has an integy bumper and a mmp with a teking redline 21.5 but it took everything i could throw at and didnt miss a beat. at one point we climbed a massive hill and i was full throttle dirt chucking all the way up non stop. will upload a few pics i got in a few minutes but im very pleased with this setup even with stock gearing it never got hot. now just need to beef up the steering and start replacing more plastic with aluminum Today was a good day
