Dude, you gotta show more of the wheel porn though! I have some Motoworx 10 hole 2.2's coming on Friday! Can't wait!
I know, I know... However, I am not going there. Instead, I am going to machine a raw set of the new Motoworx SLW's down to drop the weight. They are just so pretty... I have to run them!

I'm such a tease....

I don't even wanna know. If you have that many just hanging out I don't wanna see the full line up. Even though those black 8 spoke 2.2's do look pretty good!

That would be awesome! Is it gonna just gear towards 1.9 or will it be 2.2 as well? I know this is a bit off topic for this build but did you make the license plates for Fiona?

It's focus will be scale crawlers only. 1.9 & 2.2. The plates are from KrawlerKonceptz.com.

I'm going to shoot for 4lbs or less. We'll see how that goes... The 1.9's over the 2.2's should give me the en road to make that happen.

More soon...
My 1.9 Honcho is so far a lightweight, but I'm going to need to put some weight in the wheels to keep the COG low enough to work, so my goal is >5 lbs including the wheel weight. Still need to add the battery and motor, and the other light electronics. I wasn't even trying to go lightweight until I weighed the roller.

Too bad these are illegal for comps without having a rail chassis... trail runs only. (Or get bumped to C3 in a comp)

Do you know if motoworx can mill these new style wheels to lighten them up? I had him do the set of 2.2 talons i ordered a while back! Are the new ones any different which would weaken them to much?

I'm sure he would if you asked nice. He'd probably need to charge more.

I was planning on milling the center of the exterior diameter. On the slw's he's already milled out the extra in the rear dish. I won't do anything to compromise the integrity of the wheel. The extra milling won't hurt it, but in not doing it, he keeps the prices reasonable. Jake's wheels are some of the best out there.
