Question 4 pole

Quick question, I am putting a brushless system in my Wraith. I read through Harleys guide etc. I don't think I saw anything about 4pole vs 2pole. Question is do I absolutely need to run a 4 pole with a brushless system?

IMO:

I would, better low end resolution and torque than a 2-Pole.
Is the ESC Sensored?

Just fitted a RX8 and a ROC 412 (4-pole), compared to an old Novak 18.5, to my Wraith. The low end resolution was similar but I have to give the nod to Tekin, and the power (torque) was also a little better (turning 2.2 Rovers). But the big difference was the top end, the Tekin ROC was way faster.

No you don't need a 4 pole just like you don't need brushless.

I have a 4 pole in my wraith.

I know tekin is just about the best, but I just don't have the cash to drop on one right now. I was planning on going with the brushless hobbies LT4 120amp sensored/sensorless Esc. I just cant seem to find a budget friendly 4 pole brushless sensored motor. Any suggestions would be great.

what is your exact budget for a motor? I looked at the esc you are thinking about getting. Id recommend buying a used mamba max pro for around that price...its the best all around speed controller.

Some of the Hobbywing 4 pole are "relatively" cheap. Sensored brushless motors all cost a grip.

I use a hobbywing 3656sd and it is awesome. For less than $200 shipped you can get a mamba max pro and a 3656sd. The 3656sd is in the same league as the pro4 and tenshock. It certainly not a lesser motor. It has a considerably bigger rotor than the competition.
