Default spur-pinion-battery life?

So I have a newbie question. Yes I tried to search with no luck. I recently just installed new 32p 57/14 gears in my Wraith along with metal transmission gears. Before the new gears were installed I would be able to get 45min-1hour of run time on a single 3s 1300mah. I had it out last night in the same driving conditions and got 15-20 minutes tops out of the same battery. I did the paper trick when installing new pinion, so I'm pretty confident the mesh is right. Just don't know where to go from there. Any help or suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance!

Is your gearing still the same? Any binding?

No binding, gearing went from stock to 57/14 which from my research is pretty close to the same.

yes, your ratios are pretty much the same, so run time shouldn't have changed. You are sure pack was fully charged?

Yeah, I tore it down late last night and will double check everything when putting it back together. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the help and suggestions...Just kind of confused me.

So I got everything put back together..... I'm pretty sure the mesh was too tight on the spur/pinion. One of the mounting screws in the motor wasn't very tight. After the run last night I do think I need to go down a couple teeth in pinion. The motor was HOT! I'll order a couple different sizes and see what happens. Thanks four your suggestions Erin!

sounds good, is it still running the stock motor? I know stock gearing tends to kill those pretty quick.

Shoot for closer to 5:1, like 12/60

may I suggest changing back to the stock gears and retest. I wonder if something changed in the metal gear swap.

Also, if the gears are the same size as stock, the ratio should be the same. If they are different sizes, you did something inaccurately.

I'm running a 13T HH Crawlmaster. I just ordered 13t and 11t pinions, so I guess I'll wait for those to come in and see what happens.

I tried looking for 32p 60T spur....any suggestions?

kimbrough makes one that works. It may or may not fit your gear cover if you still run it.

If it's rc4wd pinions they are junk no warranty, they told me the pinions are not built for brushless power wtf I'm useing pinions from 23 years ago when I raced and no problems with brushed, they toss out some garbage sometimes.
