My steering is fine did a little modification to the top plate by moving steering post 1/2" forward to get the links as parallel as I can to get more of a descent angle

Its a pretty nice product but I don't think it was ready for market just yet. The steering needed some serious work and the front shock tower is leaned way too far back.

This was a post from a local club member in my build thread. He talks about how he moved the steering rack forward.

I did the exact thing that club member did but without the plate as you have mentioned to him about trying it on the top plate which I did. I also shaved off a tab of where it mounted on the bulk head and smoothed out the axle housing where the center drive cup pokes out to clear the steering rack. Will take better pics once I get a few more parts. As of now here is how she sit

It kind of looks like the holes are slightly closer together than the originals, did you check them with a set of calipers by chance? I think I will likely go with the plate solution so I don't have to mess with those "wings". The angles on yours are looking better than the way it came for sure.

However I upgraded to MIP's so steering angle is going to be limited to a point anyway.

I sent blue monkey a pm on this very subject and got no response. I guess its up to the end user to figure it out.
The post in Harleys thead seems like the best fix for those who already have the kit.

Josh, I just read and responded to your PM. i've been pretty busy with shipping out orders and have not had a lot of time on the forum.

i'm going to take another hard look a the design this weekend but the holes are moved as far forward as possible without hitting the legs that mount the upper plate. the steering location was a compromise but worked very well in testing. i wish it was as simple as just moving the holes forward.

after trying a few different things, this turned out to be the best solution:

anybody who wants this bracket to adjust steering geometry just PM me your first and last name (the one you used to pay for your order in paypal) and i'll send you one.

thx!!

I don't have the kit, but admire the fact that Blue Monkey is taking care of the issues. Kudos.

This plate works great. Get extra clearance by moving the traxxas steering drag link to the top. Great product mod, and awesome customer service.
