| Need Help With Motor Selection I have had my wraith for about 4 months now and I'm trying to figure out which would be a better compliment to my truck. I have a slew of vanquish upgrades and an almost complete bulletproof ax10 gearbox waiting in my toolbox. I like to do low speed crawling but would like to give it more speed when needed (rock racer). What would serve my needs better, a ROC412 3100kv, or a Holmes Motor? If anyone could suggest a Holmes setup(magnets, brushes, bearings, comm specs., etc.) that offers higher speed and smooth low end please offer up specs. I tried building one and got up to $130 but if I'm going to spend that much I want to make sure it’s what I want. Any and all help is greatly appreciated Pic of my truck |

My questions are a little more indepth. The first page makes no mention of the ROC 412, is the 3100Kv the one most people run, is that comparative to the Pro4 you talk about in your referenced page 1? If I go with a Homes I want a custom built one, so I need advice with the specifics for a Holmes Pro Custom 540 . I'm loooking for someone to spec out the build. It's not really that much more in depth from what is shown. That page gives you the info on the differences in the power types. There is a huge difference between brushless and brushed. You really just need to choose the class of power you want. If you want a lot of power than brushless is the way to go and the ROC 412 is a good choice, very similar to the Pro4. If you want a little smoother low end with less speed and torque than a brushed is a good choice. | |

Do you ever run Holmes setups? The rigs I've seen of yours run the ROC412
