| new to the Wraith world, lowering question...
I just got a Wraith and stock these things sit pretty high. I've flipped the shock mounts on the axles but it doesn't give all that much of a drop. What else should I do to get it to sit with a lower center of gravity? RIZ |

There are many upper shock mount lowering kits out there. I don't remember who I got mine from.

You can flip the entire rear upper shock mount to lower it some as well |

Here is my Wraith in it's current form. My shocks are Traxxas Big Bores. I "THINK" they are the 3.5" version. Whatever the T/E-Maxx uses. I swapped out the shock rod ends for slightly shorter rod ends. Flipped the rear shock tower. The front springs are a lot softer than the rear. The front sits about mid compression on the shock for a level ride height. My axles are VP Currie so the axle shock mounts can't be flipped, but I never did that on the stock axles and had about the same ride height. I never liked how they stuck down below the axle tube slightly when flipped. |

I put the softest axial springs in mine and it sat down quite a lot...have a lot done new upper mounts and flipped the rear lower mount but you are right it doesn't do sweet stuff all, I changed it to change the drive line angle. shorter shocks also, scx10 are meant to have same travel but in a shorter body |

How heavy is that. Ripsaws look flat on both axles . Are there foams in them?

| Re: new to the Wraith world, lowering question... I never weighed it, but I guess it was about 8 lbs or so. Almost all of the weight was in the front due to all of the electronics under the hood. The Ripsaws were very soft just because they were becoming bald, they were the R35 compound and the stock Axial foams were worn out. The wheels did have a lot of weight in them from the previous owner as well.

+1 Shorter Shocks. It also seemed to help lower mine when I replaced the stock links with vanquish links. or maybe I'm just nuts... |
