It is a very, very snug fit. Use some lube to slide the tubes in. First you need to remove the shock mount screws & axle truss screws. Watch the notches in the beef tubes as your screws need to slip thru,if your not lined up,remove the diff cover push the tube back out and try again. Good luck they are fairly easy install.

I have the metal ones, put them in a drill and used sandpaper to get them small enough to press in.

I think I have a defective tube? I can't get the tubes to clear the axle shafts from either side. I have no fitment issues with the axle housing. just can't get the axle shafts
through the beef tube due to that "stepped lip" on both sides

If it's for the rear, that flange needs to be shaved down a bit on the axle shaft. I've seen it mentioned as a requirement somewhere.

....a file.

or a Dremel, bench grinder, angle grinder, die grinder, lathe, belt sander, orbital sander, or if you dont have any of those tools you probably could just rub the flange on an rough rock and grind off enough of the flange to get them in.

.

Well.. yeah

I chucked up the axle shaft into my hand drill and used a dremel in the opposite direction.
