Default MMP/ROC 412 Help?

As title says I bought a tekin roc412 motor and Mamba Max Pro esc for my wraith.
Wired everything tonight and having issues with the motor. At first the motor would not go forward or reverse it would just "twitch". So I called Tekin and one of the guys there said that the "ABC" on the tekin motor don't match up with the "ABC" on MMP so i fiddled with the wires. But now that the motor is running smooth it will only run in reverse. Which can be switch on my remote but then I would only have Forward motion.

-This combo is brand new never seen the out doors so Dirt all that is out of the question.
-Tried another sensor wire that came with my RX8/t8 and same issues, so sensor wire can't be the problem.
-I have my esc on the "sensored" mode.

Any help would be wonderful !

Did you calibrate the ESC properly? I assume you have a castle link to program the MMP. Make sure that the ESC is not in forward only mode. What radio system are you using?

Sometimes the abc wire designation isn't the same between manufacturers. Try cba or abc wiring of the motor wires, always keep b in the middle. Also try going to a different castle firmware, sensored only no smart sense. Check the throttle/brake curves too.

And as was mentioned, recalibrate along with making sure you have forward/crawler reverse happening.

Tried recalibrating multiple times, I'm using a DX4S. ESC is set to Forward/reverse

The guy at tekin told me the exact same thing.
I have it set to sensored only.
What should i be looking be in the throttle/brake curves

A linear curve to start basically, then set to your preferred setting. Reason I mention is that castle link has put in a weird throttle curve on me a couple times. Still unsure what caused it...

Working fine now.. I updated the esc with the link again and plugged it back in trying the wires differently again. Its now working fine so something solved it!

Thanks for the advice.

Not exactly on topic but when I run crawling speed, after a second it jumps like it wants to go faster. Throttle curve solve that?

Is the mmp in sensored only? I'd check the curve and possibly roll back the firmware.

Yeah in sensored only. So I should roll back the firmware to a previous version?

Definitely try it but also try another sensor cable. Sounds like sensorless operation.

Maybe the cable connector is just loose. Didn't stay in very good anyway. Any way to fix that?

Try another sensor wire, hopefully it isn't the socket in the esc. Adding some dielectric grease helps as well.

So how did you plug it back in now that it works properly?

Just got my rok 412 this morning. Have a to c and c to a and the middle wires b to b. And it worked fine. Have mmp set to smart sense mode and normal start it running latest firmware
