| Glitchy Throttle?
Hi everyone! I just finished putting the final piece of my first kit together today (Futaba 3PL + Receiver). Unfortunately, It appears that I'm having a problem with my rig. 1. When giving it gentle throttle, I notice a really loud "whining" noise coming from the motor/tranny area. 2. Sometimes when giving it throttle, it wont register until about 3/4 throttle. During this "dead space" I can hear an extremely "glitchy" sound coming from the vehicle. 3. The RC will not go into reverse all the time. If it doesn't, I have to turn the wheels a bit and then it will go into reverse. I'm fairly confident that I need to install a BEC. I just want to see if any of these issues can be something other than not having a BEC. I took a short video so you can see what I'm talking about. I appreciate any help you guys can offer! Cross question #1 and #2 off the list. The sensor wire became disconnected during testing. This is what caused the whining and the glitching. Still stumped on #3 lol. Thanks guys! -Brandon |

I'm clueless on brushless motors. Was it an existing set? Any issues before? Is it calibrated properly?

Thanks for the response! It seems to be fixed now. I went through and calibrated the ESC as per the instructions. The only issue I'm having now is that it seems with the STRC Aluminum steering link installed, it is turning way too far to the left and not as much to the right (towards the servo link). I was searching around the forums here and people said to use different size end links. I'm not sure if that would fix it though. -Brandon |

You may need to center the servo before installing the servo horn.

You guys are saviors... I adjusted the EPA on my transmitter and the turning is equal!!! Now the only thing I have left to figure out is why the servo sounds like its constantly working when its sitting there idle. Thanks again!! -Brandon |

Some servos are just loud. with all power on, including radio, remove the servo horn and reinstall. Soemtimes that will take some stress off it and ease it out. My Hitec 7954's are always making noise. I have very weighted wheels which I think is one reason. |

most digital servos always make a buzzing sound even when you are not giving any steering input. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Thank you gcm. I was worried that I would end up burning the servo up! Now it's time to go outside and have some fun haha. -Brandon |

I had some loud glitching noise on my steering servo as well i ended up having a binding issue with my links i gave them a 1/4 turn out and it helped the servo from whinning as much.
