So I ordered a castle 10a bec along with axial nvs for lighting. I'm wanting to make sure install is done correctly. I've watched the video of bec install, but wondering if there is anything on nvs install. The nvs has a pigtail that looks to plug in between battery and esc, then to receiver. All these wires have me uneasy for the beginner I am. Any help is appreciated.

You need power to the NVS. That's the red black pigtail...hook it to any power source, battery, receiver, BEC(if the voltage is set low enough), etc. The other two wires from the NVS will go to the receiver sterring and throttle ports and the servo and ESC connect into the NVS system directly. This is so the brake lights, throttle dimming and the signals work correctly. I recommend you get the power from the NVS directly from the receiver. If you plug a BEC into the receiver, make sure you remove any other power input wires(example is power lead from ESC into receiver) otherwise you will have 2 power sources feeding the receiver....not a good thing. |

Does the bec plug into the bat channel of receiver? I have it all hooked and when I turn on the nvs system, the lights come on a split second then off. The receiver is beeping constantly. What have I messed up? I have no steering/throttle response.

I unhooked the nvs and still have the bec hooked up. Steering/throttle response is back and works fine. So what am I doing wrong that it doesn't work with nvs lighting hooked up?

Have you adjustrd the BEC's voltage output? I run mine at 7.2 volts, the same ss a 6 cell NiMh pack.

Not sure what to post a pic of? Bottom line is I don't know how to hook the nvs light system up correctly along with the bec to make it work. The lights come on a second then off. I have no steering/throttle and receiver just beeps.. If I unhook the nvs and leave bec connected, everything works fine.

No I haven't adjusted anything nor do I know how. I'm new to this hobby and quickly finding out its more detailed than I anticipated.

You need a Castle Link and a Windows PC. Download the software from the Castle Creations web page.
