| Three Wraiths two have radio issues
Throwing this out there to see if anyone else in the RC world has experienced this. Two out of three Wraith rtr's are having radio distance issues. You can drive them away about 30-35 feet untill the car stops dead cold (no servo or throttle response) walking towords it typically it will begin working in the range of 15-20 feet. The third has no issues whatsoever. Ive never measured the exact distance it can drive away but it is quite farther than the other two. All three cars have upgraded servo with all stock motor and esc. All three cars have also has the battery forward mod completed and we've explored the possibilty of the antenna being cut or damaged, upon inspection niether of the two had any apparent damage and both are run thru the hood so to stick out. Thanks for reading we have top men doing research as well any suggestions are appreciated. |

If possible try looking inside the reciever case last time i had a reciever issue my antenna had actually broken off at the circuit board. Only let me get a few feet away before it would stop working.

Mine did the same thing, no obvious damage to the antenna. Ordered the $8 FlySky receiver off Amazon, all is good again. I have the antenna rolled up in the box with a bunch of wires and it will run further than you can even see the truck.

Today I experienced the exact problem described by OP while running my Wraith. Still troubleshooting to determine if it is the stock TX, RCVR or ESC. Rig performed perfectly until today.

To update one of the wraith owners replaced the stock ESC and it seemed to cure the range issue. Idk for certain what was the problem. The other guy hates rc and rarely drives it so eh Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk |

Performed more troubleshooting this morning. Bound my SCX10 TX to the Wraith RX with no change. Installed SCX10 AR-3 RX in Wraith. Problem solved! Ran the Wraith down my street at least .75 of a block and never lost reception. I am going to order either a new AR-3, or as some have suggested, a FS-GR3C. I am relieved to find a solution.

Today I replaced the receiver with a FS-GR3F. Works great.
