Default 3S and brushed?

Looking at batteries at Ultimate Hobbies. They told me I can't run the Sidewinder ESC with Holmes Motor on a 3S. Is this true? Thx.

Designed for 1/10th
The Sidewinder 3 is a great fit for 1/10th off-road, on-road, and rock crawlers running up to 3S LiPo. It sports updated circuitry for faster response time and improved reliability. As always, the Sidewinder 3 offers industry-leading software functions and USB programming capability via Castle Link USB adapter (sold separately).

I've ran my SV3 in my Stampede 2WD speed truck. My Honcho, and now it's sitting in my E-Maxx. Very versatile ESC. High turn, low turn brushed, various brushless motors, all on 2S/3S. Keep an eye on the temps though.

I run my sidewinder3 on 3s with a 35t brushed motor and a Holmes 13t crawl master all the time. It doesn't have a fan which worries me slightly but has never caused an issue
