how much flex do you have already? too much flex is not good...rule of thumb is your flex should not be more than the height of one tire....around 4.5 to 5.5 inches usually... proline slash shocks are good choices...either 4 fronts or 4 rears...depending on on the ride height you want. |

I'm running Traxxas Bigbores XXL. For the price nothing will beat these, half the price of Proline Powerstrokes, and they will be a huge upgrade to the poor stock shocks.

Im running the King 110s. First run has all 4 leaking and they are way too soft. I will be picking up some Kyosho's from Super Shafty ASAP.

If you like the Traxxas shocks just get the stock Ultra shocks. Add Aluminum shock caps and they are better than the Big Bores. Despite the name 'Big Bore' the plastic the Ultra shocks hold more oil. |

| Re: Want to upgrade shocks The down side is the plastic bodies will leak. The aluminum ones won't ever leak unless you put them together wrong. I do agree the name " big bore" is misleading.

I'd have to disagree. My Slash Ultra shocks (With Alloy caps) take a massive beating at high speeds and are fine. Every stock axial shock I have owned leaked out of the box. Haha. A Traxxas shock is designed to be used in much harsher conditions than the Axial Wraith/Scx10 would be used in. They are built for bashers at the end of the day.

Ok so it seems like the traxxas shocks might be the way to go, what size 110mm? And what about integy how is that brand? I've always had team associated and always just used their parts or proline.

I have some chrome ones. I believe 100mm-110mm not sure. I put 30 weight in they. I read that is recommended for just cruising and some crawling. I got this used roller for $100. I put a used novak brushless setup in it. And walla. These shocks work great with 30 weight. I have also had no leakage since I bought it and cleaned them up. So I do agree aluminum bodied shocks work better than stock plastic. I have proline rears all around for my slash 2wd. ,rc4wd king shocks for my scx10 and these for my Wraith. None leak. |

I really like them. Super soft but 110 are a little too long. You can hear the stock driveshafts kinda grind when the scx10 is off the ground because they are too angled. But on the ground when the driveshaft are normal, they perform way better than the G6 kit shocks.
