Yes you WANT hexes. Well worth it. Wheels will come loose. A hex will stop you loosing pins.

I've got pics to post but I can't seem to find how to do it? Maybe I'm not allowed to yet on this forum??? Anyhoo, I bought a complete set of Hot Racing links that should be Monday so I'm stoked to get the plastic links off and make this Wraith a real machine

The spawn is cool i just got one a week ago and with only 3 packs thru it total i stripped a pin drive just today.... Why axial put the pin drives on a 2.2 is beyond me but vanquish slw hubs will be on my parts list. Mike you def want to get some aluminum hexes along with the slw style aluminum hub and it will take care of future problems.

Went to Vanguish website & looked at hubs...so many sizes, which would I need for stock spawn tires (if thats what determines size)?

If i plan on switching the body anyways, does it make sense to get the spawn over the other Wraith RTR's? Not sure what the negative would be with going with the Spawn?

If none of the above is important because your immediately going to upgrade to brushless, gruntier servo, MIP's & Robinson slipper, then get the one with the body that suits you.

Why is the spawn cheaper if it has better electronics and shafts? Anyone know? I assume the spawn chassis is the same as a normal wraith?

cheaper because it doesn't have the castle esc.

I think the Spawn is the best deal right now, with the upgraded parts. ESC and motor end up in the trash within a week anyway

If I switched to a normal spawn body like the original panel wraith, will the interior still look good or will it look incomplete? Haven't been able to get a idea of the difference in the interiors

Also the spawn interior is very close to being at the bottom of the door bars.

I do like the spawn, I did loose 2 servos already ( CHEAP !! ) and the esc went out also. Both were replaced by the product support but I upgraded to a mmp esc and a hitec 7955sh servo. I hope I will be happy but concerned I should have gone for the ti geared unit. Anyway the stock servo although the specs look ok is a cheap unit that will need to be replaced SOON.

Product suport replaced my Motor as well. They treat their customers right. Ive had a PS wraith for a year no problems but on the second run with the spawn the motor gave out.
