Hobbywing 3656sd 3400kv $85 bucks. 4 pole motor. Hear nothing but good thing about that motor. I almost bought one but went with tekin.

I'm currently running the Turnigy TrackStar 8.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 4620KV at 32.05 . It's only rated to 2s but after using it the last few days I think it could take 3S. Have been running it for about 15-20 mins at a time doing some minor crawling, WOT runs, just overall bashing and it hasn't gotten warm yet. Running it on 2s with stock spawn gearing.

I actually prefer the Trunigy TrackStar motors over hobby wing, they're build better/cleaner and a little cheaper. Plus the 3656 hobby wing is a 550 that's 56mm long, it will need some trimming of the right rear upper link mount to get it in the Wraith.

These 540's should bolt right in, I have two 550's in this style Turnigy. So far they've been great motors with a lot of power, but they're for my SC10 4x4's.

Turnigy TrackStar 13.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 3040KV (ROAR approved)

Turnigy TrackStar 10.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 3730KV (ROAR approved)

Haven't tried this line of Turnigy motors, the 13.5 is a little low in kV though.

Turnigy TrackStar 10.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 3250KV

Turnigy TrackStar 13.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 2590KV

hobbyking has a new line of Trackstar motors.

Turnigy XK3650-3200KV Brushless Inrunner (Sensored)

I'm running this one combined with a 120A trackstar gen II ESC. On stock gearing and suspension setup it's on the egde of control at topspeed (could be my lack of skills ;) )

X2 on the Hobbyking 3656 SD series of motors.
They fit fine on my wraith. Loads of power.
With the weight of the wraith, go 4 pole. IMO
The added torque is necessary.

They do not "fit fine" in the stock Wraith. It took some trimming just to get a 55mm Reedy 550-SL to bolt up and I lost a little bit of pinion/mesh adjustment, the hobby wing 3656 is 56mm long. I know an added 2-5mm doesn't sound like much, but the 53mm long 540's have a tapered design the rear of the motor and it helps them clear the link mount. The hobby wing 3656 and Reedy 550-SL have a squared shape to the back of the motor. This is where they come in contact with the upper link mount.

I have the 3656 4000kV, two Reedy 550-SL's as well as several other 550's ranging in length from 55mm - 66mm, they do not fit without trimming/cutting on the right rear upper link mount and/or raising the transmission. They're too long.

There are several 4-pole 540's that produce as much torque as the hw 3656 and fit the without having to change anything. The ROC412, Pro4, Reedy Sonic 544, Turnigy even has a couple of high kV 4-pole 540's, all of which will "fit fine" in the Wraith. Castle also has the 1410 4-pole 540's, but they're sensorless motors.

You don't have to trim the link mounts. I just spent the $8 and bought the DMG wraith trans spacer comes with a thin spacer and a thick spacer. I have the HH 540xl puller pro fit without any modding except to use the thick trans spacer. My kid has the xerun 3656sd 3400kv 4 pole and its a bit smaller I used the thin trans spacer and it fits with room behind the motor and link mount. My 540xl is just barely about to touch the link mount even with the spacer but I can slide a piece of paper between the motor and link mount so there is a tiny gap barely visible to the naked eye. I love a 550 in a wraith good power to hit a jump here and there when you come across one and still good slow speed control. Noticed with the extra top speed I can skim across mud puddles I used to get stuck in with the slower brushed motor.
