Default Wraith tranny mirroring?

Use to do this with the scx10 but can it also be done with the wraith? Thinking I may have to get the scx10 tranny case to do so.

Reason I ask is due to all the torque twist off the line.

Any ideas?

Mirror Imaged Transmission

Not Wraith specific but those trannys are very similar.

No, cannot mirror with stock tranny case. Different shock oil and springs will help torque twist as will a rear swaybar.

An AX/SCX tranny could be used and mirrored though.

Yes I could just use different shock oil but I was trying to fix the problem all together. But the real problem is the wraith tranny case has the dig option in the way. Plus in the end you won't be able to use your spur cover.

Oh well. Sway bars it is.

Thanks guys

I think running the diffs the rtr way and switching the esc to reverse helps a lot with torque twist. The motor and driveshafts spin different directions. Not sure if they spin the same direction when set up like the kit cause I never looked!

Can't do that with the wraith trans due to the area of the case for a dig.

Just take the tube body off and turn it around. Then swap the power leads on the motor to get F/R right and move the knuckles to the other axle.
This will let you lay down a good size battery on the lower chassis tube after you trim or cut off the dig servo support. This will help with torque twist and lowers the center of gravity a great deal buy moving the battery to the lowest possible spot on the chassis. As well as keeping more of the weight forward of the center point of the rig.

Why move the knuckles?

He's recommending turning the cage around on the skid plate and reversing the motor rotation, it will be rear steer if the knuckles/C-hubs/steering stay on the axle that will be in the rear after the change.

Well, I see it now. Guess that's what I get for trying to read stuff in the morning before putting my contacts in.

Underdrive gears and/or ssd high ratio tranny will help with your torque twist.

That looks like a SCX10 trans case. Yes you can do that but with the stock wraith with the dig trans you can't.

That is a Wraith trans, cut the servo mount off and just reversed the skid plate. Swapped front and rear axles and ring gear so it runs forward..

So YES YOU CAN reverse it !

Interesting, I stand corrected.

I may have to try that just for fun. I can't do it with my existing AL case but I do have the old one in the parts bin.

I could have kept the servo mount but with my battery mounted so low and back I had to cut it off.
