After the long night last night and Becky getting up at 5 am for work. She decided to take the night off. I however decided to get her paint job finished.
Here is the finished product. It took me 8 hours of cut the liquid mask. It came out ok in my standards. I think it could have been better. Let me know what you think. I wish you could see the highlights in the flames. I used silver for the shading. I guess I should have use a gray.

I figured I would finish the shocks this morning before I went to work. When I get home from work I will get the chassis and the electronics tray build started. I am hoping that I get finish with the crawler tonight so I can get the rest of the build posted by tomorrow morning.

The next step in the shock assembly is to slide the rubber bump stop onto the shock shaft. NOTE: The tappered end of the rubber bump stop is installed towards the aluminum shock body.

Then you will press the metal ball end into the rod end. Axial has provided three different length rod ends for their shocks for additional tuning. This gives you the opportunity to change the length of the shock.

I chose the longest rod end to install on the shocks. The rod ends are not threaded so you will need to push on them while threading them onto the end of the shock shaft.

The final step is to slide the spring over the aluminum shock body, compress the spring, and install the spring retainer. Be sure to pull the spring retainer down over the rod end so it seated.

The kit comes with super soft springs. Axial has five choices of springs to chose from, Super Soft AX30218, Soft AX30219, Medium AX30220, Firm AX30221, and Super Firm AX30222. This will allow you to be able to tune you shocks to driving style.

Here are some outdoor pictures. I still wish I would have went darker on the shaded part in the flames because you just can't see them in the pictures.

The build photos start on page 2 and go to this current page. Becky took last night off because she was up till midnight because of the live build on RCC that was broadcast. She had to be at work at 5 am yesterday, soI took that time to get her paint job done. The rest of the build will happen tonight when she gets home from work. Depending on what time she finishes the build and wiring she will post up the remaining build up. During the first half of this build I took 250 plus pictures. It takes time to load all of them and get them posted. She wanted to make sure that the build was a detailed as possible so everyone has a good idea of what to expect once the kits are shipped. Sorry for the length of time on the build but it takes alot of time when you are taking pictures on each step.

Sorry, I was just keen to see how the build continues and of course to see the truck ready with good photos of it .

Thanks and keep up the good work .
