Axial Ti gear shafts showed up today. My VP motor plates should be here tomorrow. They will both join my VP trans cases to hopefully put my VP-10 a little closer to being bullet proof.

When I gotmy XR I loctited the stock bearings in. Waited for my punkdig, and then did the 9mil mod b4 the dig showed. What bitch to get them bearings out of the plates with loctite holding them in there. It seems it takes the slop out, but you got your VP bling on its way.

Thanks!

I rebuilt the rear trans last night with the VP motor plate and Axial Ti shaft to go along with the VP trans case. I have been running stock bearings since day one and had no problems, but I found a busted one during the tear down. All of the gears were fine so all is good. The rear axle is butter smooth now and I can't wait to do the front axle tonight.

Chalked up another victory with the XR yesterday. I love it more everytime I drive it. I had Losi gold springs on the front and Axial blacks on the rear. I am going to add Axial blacks up front also, I like the feel of a super soft suspension. I also have a new lid coming from Rockthrasher.

Well she now has Axial black springs all around, Axial CF chassis, and servo mounts. I also got the Axial aluminum shock caps and pre-load adjusters used from firekiddco2.

Took her out for some testing yesterday. I can't really say I noticed much difference with the new setup good or bad. Since I did'nt notice any negative effects with the changes I guess I will stick with it for now.

I believe at the time I purchased them CKRC was the only place that had them in stock.

Thanks, yea most servo protectors I have seen offer zero protection for the front of the servo. The front of the servo is what takes the beating, so I think it's more important to cover the front than the top.
