Wow I am jealous I can't wait for my son to be old enough for us to do stuff like this! And I agree with Jeepkid 5star thread.

Well, the 4 year old isn't ready for an XR yet, so he just has a Honcho with a Sidewinder and 35T in it |

I'm pretty sure these are the ones with the upgraded firmware, right? I thought the 010s were the old ones and the 012s were the new ones.

OK, time for an update. Decided at the last minute to just build his without waiting for the VP order to come in, will be swapping out the motor plates, etc, later, just did it stock with the brass bushings for now. Building the transmissions Love those shiny motors These were taken after the comp. I thought he did pretty well, I drove the truck too, and I think once he gets a little time under his belt, he'll do well. Just getting used to driving it vs. the Honcho that he is used to. The idea of dig is completely new as well Not bad flex for pretty much box stock (except the links) |

Well, we decided to make the jump to bodiless. After seeing what everyone else was running, ordered up a pair of BJV4 chassis Love it when the mailman shows up! I mocked mine up just to get the idea, need to paint up the side plates later. Just have to get everything together by April 17th! |

Took advantage of the nice weather and got outside yesterday. Still pretty cold, but at least most of the snow is gone! |

Sold a bunch of stuff on eBay, so decided to take the leap and hit up VP for a bunch of stuff. Pretty much blinged out the axles, hopefully I'll have everything done by April 19th! Also ordered some Rowdy battery trays for the front axle, and having some inside skins done for the body panels on the BJV4s. Me and my OCD about things........ |

Nice, you know I saw a guy with the same case as yours. I compared it to my cases that I got at lowes and they are the same other then the fact that my cases is silver and I had to remove the foam to fit both controllers. |

| I went to Lowe's and looked for that case you have, and the one by me doesn't carry it anymore. The guys there said they used to, but for some reason discontinued it. This was a camera case, the foam is nice and easy to custom fit. Its not the best quality, but it'll work just fine.

Time to VPify the axles, with a hint of Rowdy and RC4WD! How it started The goodies: VP aluminum, RC4WD gears MMM, purty.... I know where everything is (I think....) All done, with Rowdy's battery tray Front and rear. It's almost a shame to get them dirty! You can see where I trimmed off the corner of the battery tray to clearance the front upper link mount. This is Zack's, got the chassis assembled and mocked up. Just need to figure out the mounting positions for the upper links and the best way to mount up the shocks. |

if you look at the shock parts tree there should be some plastic ball standoffs for the shocks, also a plastic washer. then space them off the chassis with a revo ball end. use these instead of the rubber gromet and the shocks will move more freely. |
