So the Canada post strike is over cause the government forced them back to work. So I am hoping that my links get here soon.

I also ordered the bearing kit from avid rc for the XR10 with the bigger motor plate bearings. Heres hoping it doesnt take too long for everything to get here.

On a good note i have run about 7 pack through it with fully stock axles and no breakage *knock on wood*. I think that when it does happen i will go with the RC4WD gears

I placed an order today for more parts, on the order(s)

RC4WD gears
Big bores (2660)
Mini-t Springs
Jeepindoug spring cups
Avid 9MM flanged bearings
Traxxas bushing pack

I am still waiting for my Chaotic Crawlers links (stupid strike) talked to the mail man today and he said they are soooooo backed up its not even funny. So who knows when i will even get this stuff.

I was going to just go up to the VP stuff right away but I found an HPI Vorza in the For Sale section and I have wanted one for soooo Long i had to buy it. So i went for the mods to the transmissions instead of the upgrades and will continue to try and not break the C hubs/knuckles.

There here! There here!!!! My Ti links are here!

Went home at lunch and they were waiting for me in the mail box.

Brought them to work and made up the links with the revo ends, i also mounted them up. One thing i did notice was that i needed to modify a few of the rod ends for clearence, the rear lowers and front lowers at the axle ends. Just some slight trimming.

Here's some pictures of the rig at work. (yes my tool box is orange)

Glad to see you finally got them!

If I would have known about the strike i would have shipped them a different way!
Sorry about that!

I'm assuming by trimming the rod ends you mean they rub the shock rod end?
I have the same issue with my rig as well.
Just a few seconds of trimming with a razor blade fixed that!

The links shipped before the strike started. So it really couldnt be helped. Also customs decided they wanted to see my sweet links before me and opened the the box up at the border.

I did have the issue with the rears on the shock ends rubbing. I also found that at the front lower where they go into the axle the rod end wouldnt allow it to go in all the way. But like you said, little trim with the knife and ta-da! Perfect fit. Anyone who wants some really nice high clearence links Chaotic Crawlers are the ones to get.

Got the last of the major stuff in the mail in the last few days.

RC4WD gears, Avid bearings, traxxas bushings

The tools for todays mods. My drill, 9mm bit, and a deburing bit

Heres the back side of the motor plate with 1 new bearing

The bushings in the trans cases

There was a surprise waiting in the front axle for me, i didnt hear it happen or notice any noise from it....

The one big thing i noticed after the work is that the 9mm bearings fit soooooooooo much tighter. Also the gears are quite loud compaired to the stockers i had in there.

The gears are louder for sure. That is normal and gets a little better over time. Jst use some high quality grease.

They are getting quieter over time. Im about 3 packs into the new gears now. This thing is crawling great. I am using the VP grease but i think i will be picking up some of the gear science stuff when i run out.

Mail man brought a box today, my new BAWSS CLAWS. So i stuffed them full of some pro-line dual stage foams and mounted them up.

Tomorrow i plan on heading to the indoor course at the LHS and doing some work LIKE A BAWSS.

Hey dioptric...I wanna get an xr10. Get back into comp crawling. But I want to mod it to a rock racer/Crawler. What's the biggest size motor I can slap on there? I know there are clearance issues due to it being an MOA. I'm looking for good top speed and mid range torque. I don't want a slow rig.

I would go with 35t on 3s. That should get you nice and fast.

*nothing like a vorza though*

New wheels for the Sedonas, thought i would go a little different.

RC4WD 2.2 stelies in white. 4oz is what they list as the weight of each wheel. I added about 3.5oz of extra in the fronts. Vented with some 1/8th holes and good to go.

OK... That's cool Good choice. I have been thinking about putting white wagons on my 1:1 Jeep.

How did they work out on the track width F/R?
