| I Egressed my Bantam
I couldn't wait till I finished this to show it off! I took the last remaining part of my Progress Chassis (The Skid Plate) off, and went in a new direction. I've been envious of Egressor's Tuber for quite some time now, and got to thinking that it might just be possible to adapt his inovative single point lower link set-up to a delrin frame. With the design of the Progress frame I was pretty close, so I decided to give it a try. I want to let you all know that the "Progress" is a great crawler set-up, but I just love to design and tinker, so I started tinkering and designing Here's what I came up with............ Like I said I couldn't wait to get it done before I showed it off. I am about 1/4" short on the wheelbase as it sits, and will remedy this by replacing the rear lower links. As you can see I don't have the clearance of Egressor's tuber but it will.......... The electronics are just stuck in the frame and need to be fastned in place. New panels need to be made for the new redesigned 1/16" topper, and the BWD motor covers need to be installed. I drove it over some obstacles in the garage a while ago and I think this thing is gonna be awesome! |

You plan on making higher clearence rear lowers. You would have hella breakover.

Great idea there. Any ideas on how you will get the electronics to stay in place?

On a side note, I was in Sidney in February of 1971 for R&R from Vietnam and stayed at the Bondi Hotel across from Bondi Beach. I remember a lot of rock around there. Do you ever do any crawling around there now? Is the Hotel still there? That is one cool city, I always wanted to go back and stay longer. Five days and Four nights weren't long enough!!!!! | |

| I will take you up on that Randy if I can get the panels made and the BWD motor covers on. I'll have to throw the other Titanium lowers back on also, I don't think the all thread would last very long. |
