Nice work, but how much weight did you save by machining the lock outs. Maybe a gram or two?

nope i sent it all out and had it done in green, wanted something that no one else would have

there is still support on both side of the holes, i believe it will be ok, they are almost 1/8" thick

well there not quite done i am also turning the O.D. Down by half the dia.

J/K yeah i just cant go to ALL three Local club events this season with all of the big events im wanting to go to.

Hey, question on your 2 screw mod. Do You see any reason why I can't drill the 2 screws with the axles all together? I know I'm being lazy but I just rebuilt the damn things last week with rc4wd gears, motor plate, brass inserts and a BWD Blade brace but I still made the damn things click last weekend!

Sorry for the delay, the only reason i can see is you may leave plastic
shaving in the gear box and thet might cause the gears to break.

What size screw did you use for the 2 screw mod? And are you still using that same set of gears?

i used a 4-40 with the small Losi aluminum nut on the back.
still on the same set of gears over a year strong

and im not easy on my rig, i go all out i have bound the heack out of it
and KNOCK ON WOOD seill no issues.
