2x Tekin FX-r with Novak-DIG and DX3R or No dig with FlyskyGT3B

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am finally figuring out the electronics setup for my XR 10. I have 2 Tekin FX-R ESC's to run. I have a DX3R (not Pro) and a spare NOVAK e-DIG. I also have a Flysky GT3B T/X Clone that I bought for fun and modifiede with the 6 channel Hack.

Apperantly Losikid told me with the hack I can run 2 ESC's without the E-DIG. I haven't tried it.

does someone runs his dual ESC's with the FlySky Hack? It would save some weight (no DIG) and apperantly I don't think the latency rate of the DX3R is of big relevance to crawling.

But as ever I am willing to learn and listen!

I don't have one. That said, if Losikid says it can do it then I am sure it can. I bet he has the setup detailed in another thread.

We had a guy in our club running that radio with hack and 2 FXR's and it worked for him!! He had no complaints at all. I'm not sure what was involved in getting the hack on the radio but I'm sure it can't be to hard!!

The DX3R can not operate two ESCs so you would use one ESC and the Dig unit with that radio.

The Hacked one is supposed to mix the two ESCs so you don't need the dig unit.

I think I will further explore the Flysky option. I have it hacked (I also soldered the cables and bought the programming board). But I wanted to ask prior just to avoid that it completly sucks and I change it back again....

I have a hacked FS-GT3B and it's all set for running dual ESC's. I don't have my truck done yet, but have tested it using 2 servos plugged into the RX and it looks like it's working fine.

ive been using the hack on my gt3b since it came out to run dual escs and once you get the programming figured out it works great. i havent had a single problem with it on my xr10 with dual castle sidwinders

Are you using Micro sindewinders or the normal?

just the normal sidewinders as i already had them when i built my xr10 so i didnt feel the need to get the micro pros, but if i didnt already have them i would get the mamba micro pros.

Interesting option, but I think i might not be too in love with my spektrum to do that

I am running the GT3B in my xr10 with dual AE-2 esc's, works flawlessly. I have the trim button on the pistol grip set to go full dig front or rear when the button is pushed forward or back, and the d/r button set to move the esc's in 20% mix increments (it can be adjusted from 1-100% increments). Gives great control and absolutely no problems so far. Like stated above, the hardest part is figuring out how to program all the mixes, but once you get it figured out it works great. Cant beat the gt3b for the price, and losikids support is outstanding. Hope that helped some.
