Default Aluminum C-hubs and knuckles that work with stock wheels

I'm looking for some c-hubs and aluminum knuckles that work with the stock wheels. It looks like the Axial ones are the only knuckles which might actually fit with stock wheels. The Vanquish ones clearly state they are only for the 1" and 0.7" wide wheels (stock are too wide I guess). Is that my only option to stick with the Axial parts? And are those Axial aluminum knuckles an exact copy of the stock plastic ones, just stronger?

STRC & HR make stock replacements, which are basicallythe same as the AXial aluminum upgrades.

The clearance issue of the VP iknucklesand the stock wheels are the placement of the steering arm, which is up higher than stock. it contacts the wheel slug retainers, but also improves GC up front.

Personally, the VP parts are a better design as they incorporate zero ackerman steering geometery, allkow for 50* of sttering (unmodified) and have a high leverage steering arm.

I run VP's wraith knuckles, which also have the relocated steering arm, and i was able to get them to clear the stock wheels by shaving down the slug retainers a bit. If you look, each slug hole on the stock wheel has 3 retaining ribs. the center of the three is taller than the outer two. This center rib needs to be made flush with the outer two, and it clears.

Here's a pic of a shaved down stock rim:

I had Hot Racing Knuckles and "c"s. The truck just wouldn't turn sharpe enough. I would recommend Vanquish knuckles. They turn sharper then the HR knuckles. You can narrow your stock wheels and run VP knuckles. There is a link.

Thanks guys, this helps. I will see if I can find some of the knuckles and c-hubs for a decent deal out there and then just shave down the stock wheels.

I need some for my Wraith too so I guess I can just order two sets while I'm at it

It works fine, takes so time but saves you $150. Your tires will still hit the shocks though.

I actually cheesed out and did it the super lazy way. I stuck the wheels on my Wraith that has a 4000kv brushless setup and goosed the throttle and the nubs were all knocked off lickedy split.

Edit: I forgot to mention, my Wraith has Vanquish chubs and knuckles.
