Looking for some input on a good chassis for my xr10. I see a nice mantis chassis. Just looking to see what kind of chassis our out there. I have a tube chassis for my ax10 from r2j kustoms. Thanks for all the help

I'm partial to viper ii chassis, and highly recommend it. With that said, the stock chassis actually work quite well and is a great place to start for a newbie. |

I have a biased opinion much like articzap. But my bias leans toward the BWD thing. Though as the other guys have said the stock one is great to learn on. Here are a few threads asking a similar question. These go back as far as the beginning of 2011. so you will have everything new and oldish listed. So plenty to base your searches on. Stock chassis with: -Better upper links (replace the plastic with -machined Axial aluminum, -homemade aluminum tube, -other aftermarket) -High clearance rear lower links (homemade or aftermarket) -Clock the C-hubs back after drilling new lock holes Then go drive A LOT. Other than that, there are a lot of options for chassis, but I suggest running the stock (with some mods) until you find what you like/dislike about it and how it does on your rocks & driving style. |

Id go with the stock one for now, or even Axials carbon fiber sideplate upgrade. The chassis is VERY capable with the right setup and what is nice is the ability to adjust ride height with ease and not changing alot of other things. The geometry is perfect for the XR in a light or heavy weight rig, especially if you get the VP upper link mounts. |
