Exclamation Frickn' Gearbox Problem, it won't shut up!

It makes this sound when i have gearbox closed up too, Why? (13t pinion)

i think the pinion is to high and when you place the gear in there it is contacting with the grub screw that holds the pinion on the motor shaft....try setting your pinion down a little further on the motor shaft and see what happens. the rc4wd gears have a bigger pattern thus sitting down closer to that grub screw....

and another thing could be that the pinion is a little worn and with it being a 13t its pretty small and maybe the gear mesh just isn't right with the gear.

sounds like the grub screw to me too.

Yep, that was it. When i first set the mesh/pinion gear i set it so the pinion and "spur?" were flush, but i had to set it back about 1-2mm, so i lost a little gear contact but hopefully shouldnt be a problem. also you could tell, on the grab screw, the threads exposed were shiny and slightly smashed down. Thanks for the help!
