Looking good John. Hoping we can put our rigs side by side at an event this year and see how things shake out...the DD is a great platform |

| Re: JSLICK's DD WIP Well we got another 8-10 inches of snow today. Just found out they are calling for 6-8 more Tues. into Wed. Electronics should be in this week. Can't wait to try out the Smashed BRminis in this. Thanks to OFFROADRCKOREA, I got an anodized red RR battery tray that I modified to my liking for the front axle. I guess I can start trimming the lugs. Last edited by Jslick; 02-05-2014 at 01:21 PM. |

How are you liking this rig overall compared to your "primary" rig so far?

Lucky SOB! We got 3-4" but not enough to work. Hoping for the 6-8" to hit our way.. I have an addiction to a hobby that keeps me broke! I have the matching red VP upper links to that bat mount.. very sharp color! |

| Re: JSLICK's DD WIP The snow is finally starting to melt. I can see the top of my practice area today. Of course they are calling for 3-6in on Wed. I just can't seem to catch a break. As far as the rig goes I am ready to drive. A member of the club I belong to AddictedtoRC1 was kind enough to narrow a set of SILVER OTTSIX VOODOO that I ran last season on my sportsman. The foams will need a little breaking in to get the crown out of them. I am also running them on a narrow VP wheels with another set of the OTTSIX Black Ice beadlocks. Here is my trusty rig from last season with the DD. |

I'm goin to buy a tarp if we have snow coming! Got down to the local bridge today and got a few packs or so in.. (just to rub it in a little) It felt So good to crawl! ;) Snow snow go away.... |

| Re: JSLICK's DD WIP Finally I was able to get out and get some driving in. I have to say that I enjoy the DD chassis. It handles very differently and I know know where I need to tweak it a bit here and there. The smashed BRmini ran well with no issues, the narrowed Silver VOODOO gripped well. I need to limit the rear shocks a bit more and add about an ounce in the front to get it to react the way I want it. The low COG is sick and the chassis still can pull some crazy breakovers. I am looking forward to driving this much more. Last edited by Jslick; 03-15-2014 at 04:01 PM. |

Looking good John, lovin the low & mean stance! My berg is all apart from a chassis swap but she should be good for the 30th.

| Re: JSLICK's DD WIP Thanks Paul, it is fun to drive. It is very different from my other 2.2P rig and I still don't know how it reacts in different situations. I am going to have a tough decision which one to run on the 30th.

| Re: JSLICK's DD WIP Go little wheel time in yesterday, it was nice to get out. We have a comp this weekend but the weather is not looking great. I hope the rain holds off. This is one of my favorite climbs, the narrowed SILVER VOODOO seem to be biting well. I have not trimmed any lugs yet. I still need to limit the rear shocks another 5mm. |
