A very nice thing to have,,
I know some off you out there like to show off motors when running,,
I like mine to last longer,,
Besides you can dremmel away the tophalf and WHOA the motors are visible...

There was o whole other setup electronics vice on my switch,,
I did run 2xtekin fxr, and tekin handwound pro 35T motors,,(Had one heavy duty 35T awile) because I dorve the xr into the ocean so There was the main reason I buoght all new electronics,,
Besides the hitec 7950,
I still have the fxr`s,,
they work great still,
But they are on the shelf untill I can make up my mind if I am gonna buy a pair off bully2 axels to the winter,or buy a pair off used xr10 axels,,
I hear there are somm issues with the gears on the new bully2...

My crawlermentor has a smash, and my last chassis before the reptile was the chaotic switch,,,that`s a great chassis,,,
Actually, mines a Switch. I should have gotten the Smash that was offered to me. I'm watching your thread closely, a Reptile may be my next chassis. I just want something that is current an has support.
Here's a not so good pic of some stuff I picked up from Calderwood. My front upper link mounts for HR mount and a couple different axle braces designs Sam whipped up for me. His work is impeccable and I plan on hanging everything he offers for XR on my rig.

This is my homemade batterymount,,
very easy design,,
Must say that I stole the idea from Rowdy Racing,,
But what the heck,,it works for me,,and when I run there is always a maxamps on top off there so I dosent show anyway,,

Here is the finished product,,
A little to high,,but that I will just set a spacer on the inside off the shocks to get it a little lower,,
and I can still adjust some with the position off the links and the shocks..
Want it 15mm lower..
Then I will be happy with it,,
I will buy some closed cell tuning disc`s from crawlerinnovation,,
And I am waiting for my skinz from michelle,,
Has ordered a very custom theme,,
she says that she has never done anything like what I have ordered,,
She will make my reptile so badass that I wont even drive with it when it is complete,,just have it on the shelf in my livingroom as a artpiece..

Here are the famous calderwood design upper link mounts,,,
Mutch better than the vanquish link mounts..
More options to where to have the links,,
Gotta love it!!!

Here is a TON off weights from rcbros,,
I ordered alittle to mutch,,
But better with to mutch than to little,,
I gonna build me a new crawler in the winter season,,
Maby a bull2 if they fix the gears,,
here in norway and finnland there is alot off people who has bought the bully2 and many off them has troubble with the gears..
Is this a problem in the Usa aswell??
Have not heard so mutch about geartroubble with the bully2 in the Usa,,
maby rc4wd has payd people to not talk about it,,
anyway,if the rc4wd team fix this problem I will buy those axels and put on a SUDU chassis,,
The Finns are way ahead off rest off the world when it comes to crawlerdesign,,
Just lock at NCD,,,Tomi is the man behind the RcBros weightholder,,
Rcbros bought the patent off tomi,or he gave it away because he did not have the time or the recurses to produce these weight in a big scale..

I do have great steering,,
Have not bought the dlux 70* driveshafts,,
I just took out the dremmel and shaved off some on the CVD,,
Measured it to about 60* steering,,
I am happy with that for now,,
When I get my narrowed voodoos I will maby shave off some more to get almoust 70* steering,,,
But I use dig alot,so I really dont need that mutch steering,,but I would like some more than I have today...

Damn this chassis locks great!!!!
On a stock off voodoos makes even better locking,,
The curves is sexy on this chassis,,and It performs well on the rocks aswell,,
me and my crawler mentor who rides a chaotic smash was out crawling in the evning last Thuesday,,the clock was like 10Pm but we have the midnight sun here in the far North off Norway so we can crawl 24/7,,,
Anyway, there was some parts off the course I did run from him,and some places he did outrun me,
he have a lower crawler than I have, that is the reason he did drive better than me in a few places in the course,,
But overall I will say that the reptile did perform best,,
It is lighter than the smash chassis,,
and when I get too put some spacers inside the velvet coated kyosho shocks I will get my rig 10mm lower, and that I can live with...

HUDY is my next tools. I just bought a Dynamite driver set. Loving the handle, but the tips aren't as hard as my old knurled handle Dynamite drivers.

If you guys are worried about the bulky2's and there issues.. Why not look at the ClassiCutCustom axles!? Lighter, more support, cases are guaranteed for Life! You can still use VP C's an Knuckle's, and.. They use the XR/wraith uni's modified with 5mm axle shafts.. saaweeet!

I switch from my Chaotic SMASH XR, which has been a dream to drive from day 1 and won Many podiums..
I have since switched, a hard decision to make, to a CCC Mutt chassis with CCC axles..

It was finished a couple days before a comp and minus destroying a wheel, to take me out of 1st place at that comp, I just ran it at a nationals qualifier and won 1st place.

Funny part is.. I never Really thought about switching chassis or axles... But.. If I was goin to switch, it was goin to be a Reptile chassis I switched too!
I liked the looks of it the first time I saw it..

I don't believe you are the first to switch from the SMASH to the Reptile and like it more either.

I switched from a switch to a reptile,,my mentor has a smash chassis that he loves alot,,,but he is now thinking about the crawlerkeller reptile,or the Fly1 chassis,,
I hope he decides to go for the Fly1,,
We have droven almoust the same chassis and the same electronics all the way, exept he has a smash and I had/have a switch,,
Will be the same with the reptile and the fly1,,
almoust the same idea,,and almoust the same look,,but the reptile is alittle more sexy than the fly1,,
I have heard off people here in Norway that has the fly1 and they are very happy with it,,
Smash and switch is like reptile and fly1,, very little difference on those chassises,,
But I love my reptile,,
the next chassis I wil buy to build this winter is the new SUDU chassis from finnland,,Laalaa and Tomi are extremly good when it comes to design chassis and they have alot off very good ideas for crawling,,just follow them in the future,,they are the best pilots here in Scandinavia,,,
And offcourse our very own BOLT`ON....
My hero...

This is a very handy thing too have laying around,,
you can change the travel on all high-voltage hitec servos from 90* up to 180*
180* is alittle to mutch,,I have mine at 135*,,more than enough steering,,
I dont have the dlux 70* CVD`s,but I have used the dremmel on mine and I have meashured up to 60-63* steering,,,
I have a friend who bought the 70* dlux steering CVD and it broke after 1 hour off crawling,,
Dlux had removed to mutch off the original axial CVD`s..
It broke right off, these you can do youreself without taking the CVD apart,,
I did just dremmel on the sides, and in the middle, and like I said,I have over 60* steering,,and my CVD`s is not weak because off to mutch trimming off the CVD..

I think the reptile is a little to high,,
I did try it one time with 3,5" big bores that I had Shorten innside maby 6-7mm and than I was very happy wr10ith the hight on the xr10,,,
I will set up spacers inside the velvet coated kyosho shocks and get them 6-8mm shorter,,,
Than I will have the best crawler in Norway,,,he he he,, but I am not the best pilot,,yet,,,but I will get there,,one off these days,,

That this sweet, I would like to see this go head to head with my fastback 2..I'm sure yours would win for the simple fact that mine has rovers and one power plant motor...jk. But yeah man nice rig! Did you make those links yourself?? The links on my comp crawler isn't bent enough, oh well.

These are the links that comes with the chassis,,,
the upper links is a little bit thinner than the lower links,,,
