I would also look into better bearing, like from Fast Eddy.

not sure if anyone else has purchased these yet, but mine arrived last week, along with the HR housings etc.

I went to install the gears this afternoon, then realising that they do not spin true, when all together within the housing, you can turn the gear that the motor pinion turns, but only until a certain point, the 3rd gear (final drive?) doesn't spin true and grabs inside the housing...

I filed down where I could see marks from the gear but that didn't help. stock gears back in and everything works perfectly. also one of the big diff bearings wouldn't even fit over the gear.

I may have just got a dud set but just sharing my exp with them.

Guess I'll have to check when I get all my parts in. Just eyeballing them the gears looked like good quality. They are suppose to be CNC I hope that it is not a programming issue. That would be bad news.

HR quality has been pretty good, hope they take care of the OP and watch their quality better.

Shouldn't have to join another farcebook site to send a warranty message to a vendor....sad.

I have had good luck with all Hot Racing products. I get mine through a company on line called Hobby Etc. They are out of New Hampshire, so I am able to go there and get them. They have quite a few parts for the XR10. Gearboxes, light wt gears, big bearing housings. Some alum upgrades for suspension. Right now there site is showing 10 sets. Good luck guys.
