can you take it out with out pulling the all the front end off?

yes, i did by just removing the pins holding the a-arms, then you can unscrew the 4 screws holding the front cover

I loosen the top "batwing" and it snaps out pretty easy.

I just loosened the front aluminum skid plate. It came out, but was a little tight.
