Updates from GPM/Dhawk. Not only they will replace my shaft for free, but they will send the new version of it, hopefully a better one! Hello Serban, Yes, the NEW Drive Shaft of Axial Yeti XL is available now, can you please send me your address for our replacement to send to you ? Also, would you like to buy some of our current Axial Yeti XL options ? Perhaps I can send them all together to you. For example, we have made a set below that is a very useful upgrade ALUMINIUM SPUR GEAR ADAPTER + STEEL SPUR GEAR 32 PITCH 64T + FIBRE SLIPPER PAD - 5PCS SET This is the YTL1664T39 - The spur gear adapter made in aluminum makes the power direct comes out and transfer to the motor so that the power can be enlarged, we have also changed the spur gear to steel in 32 pitch ( we have made 64T to 66T ) the fibre slipper pads are included as well. Thank you very much ! | Re: What bell crank should I choose? This is what I'm running right now, a combination of Axial (transmission side) and gpm/dhawk (rear axle side) connected together with two pins. The Axial plastic part had to be shortened and reconnected back together with that copper sleeve and set screws. Hopefully Dhawk will take me out of my misery. Although what I have done here is incredible tough, I ran it for a few weeks already and I had no reason to install the new and modded original Axial part waiting on a shelf Last edited by Tzicul; 04-01-2016 at 12:43 PM. |

Ok, so I just received the new shaft. That little sphere looks definitely beefier, it has 10.5mm diameter at it's widest. Maybe someone can measure the diameter of the old model in order to see if the new one is bigger. Thank you GPM!!! THIS IS THE WAY ALL COMPANIES SHOULD RUN THEIR BUSINESS!!!!! Cheapest way to stiffen front suspension. Especially when you already have some supersoft springs laying around. MUCH better handling already. I have to make some kind of cups, tough, for the upper part where the spring touches the plastic Last edited by Tzicul; 06-11-2016 at 08:42 AM. |

Ok, that's how it looks now And, another advantage in my opinion, using those springs limit the travel of the suspension and it will bottom out at about 1 cm before it hits the ground. And I think I prefer having less travel instead of hitting the ground at every landing. And, of course, I can cut one or more sipres at any time if I won't like it. Now I have to figure out what weight I should use. I think I'm using 35 or 40 and it's not very bad Last edited by Tzicul; 06-17-2016 at 04:35 PM. |

And this is what I have done with dustproofing the rear diff: One piece of drain hose from washing machine, it has about 25 mm on the inside of that rubber end. The best part about this hose is that both rubber end and the hose itself are very flexible. Cut the hose in order to have a few centimeters from that corrugated part and add a few centimeters of shrink tube. I used a little piece of paper in order to have just a little space between the shrink tube and the drive shaft Shrink the tube, add a zip tie and a few drops of CA on the axle and it's done. LE I suppose I could have installed a second piece of shrink tube over the one already installed, except that this one it could have been completely shrunk on the drive shaft and a little loose over the first shrink tube. I still wouldn't be completely waterproof, but it would have been a little bit better. Anyway, I'm not planning to transform this rig into a submersible Everything looks very beefy, I can only hope it really is, and it has almost no drag. Tomorrow I'll see what I have done. For now, the only drawback I can see is that is not waterproof. In fact, if any water goes in there, it will do a lot of damage over time. I bet someone can think at some better alternative. https://youtu.be/utFl3CvwmYo Last edited by Tzicul; 06-17-2016 at 04:07 PM. |

That's a cool good idea. I noticed a fair bit of dirt in my diff the other day. I like the heat shrink, gives me a few ideas to try. |

Man, what can I say? Everything went perfect and after one 6S pack it's one mod I'm proud of Actually two mods, because the front suspension is spot on also. So you can try both of them, you won't be disappointed |
