|  Pinion Issues
Using a Robinson hardened pinion and broke off 2 teeth today. Running the slipper cover and I took the trans apart and checked the slipper shaft in the trans. Dead nuts straight. Any one else run into this? Motor bearings are good also no play in motor shaft.

I break pinions all the time. I know how to set mesh, so the last few are not user error. One time I didn't put the cover on and was "eff it, it'll be fine...hold my beer". It wasn't. This rig seems hard on pinions. I'm getting the Robinson Extra Hard High Carbon Steel Motor Pinions from now on. I guess the Extra Hard are for puss rigs. High Carbon is what YXLs crave. |

Yes actually Harley from Vanquish contacted me about the revisions that he intends to make .. He also seemed interested in incorporating a pinion boot on the V2 as well!!
