Default Pinion bearing Clip???

My bearing failed on the rear differential in front of the pinion gear

But a portion to see clip is still attached is there a specific tool used to open up see clips I'm having a hard time with pliers and screwdrivers

I have new gears new axle housing new fast Eddie bearings coming and would like to prep it all to be ready

Ive always pushed it out with needle nose pliers, pushing on each end simultaneously. That either pops it out altogether or gives me a little gap in the middle where I can stick a flat blade to pop it out the rest of the way.

I just use my thumbnails and push, then again I have a working mans grip so that probably makes a difference.

I think that means you have super strong thumbnails.

Okay. So there is 0 chance I can rip this one out with my finger nail

So perhaps it seized to the bearing when the bearing failed.

It doesn't even spin.

I bought all new hardware for it and if I can get the clip off I'll salvage components.

I got a good deal on drive shafts, bearing, shims, pinion all assembled already and new.

Thanks for the info

If it doesn't spin, how about a flat blade screwdriver and some hammer taps to it.

I will post a pic of it later. I bought all new drive line parts (OEM) and built a new one. That clip wont budge.

:/
