Default RichMTB01's Axial Yeti Kit - Round 2

On to Bag C!! But first needed to select a servo for the Kit. Decided to try out one of Futaba's premium servos.

Bag C added the servo, a Hot Racing aluminum clamping horn and the alternative ESC tray. Also was the top plate and a few other supplement items before the transmission

Rich can you measure the length, width and height of the trimmed interior with drivers? I have an idea in which I will use the cockpit in my current basher project I'm working on. I made a deal with my friend for something else so I had to abandon the yeti kit idea I had.

Thanks in advance.

I've put together my video series of my Axial Yeti KIT version. Here's a video showing off the electronics and additional parts I have planned:

Here's a video showing off the Best upgrade for any Axial Yeti - Crawler Innovations Deuce's Wild Closed Cell foams. Awesome upgrade, and for $11/axle, the return on investment is a "No-Brainer"!!!

Rich, regarding your 2nd video. I initially built the Icon shocks included in the kit like you did (i.e. followed the manual). But I found that the lower spring retainers would not set properly with the rubber bumper, and on occasion the retainer would go off to the side.

Can you confirm the same happens with your shocks?

I think the best solution would be to flip the bumper around, so the beveled edge is contacting the eyelet.

ETA: Correction, flip the bumper and the spring retainer. So it should be: bumper > spring retainer > lower eyelet.

Thanks in advance.

The interior comes pre-cut, so here are the measurements:

From front to rear: 6 5/8"
Side to side: 7"
Height (from bottom to top of headrest): 1 3/4"
Once you add the head on, 2. 3/8"

As you're using an aluminium bellcrank, I'd be wary of locking it out or even pre-loading it with a bearing. If your Futaba servo is even half decent you'll tear that arm off the moment your wheels get trapped. I did it Sunday.

Yikes! Thanks for the info on that. I will keep an eye on it on the initial runs.
