Default Blackhawk, yeti prerunner

hey guys just thought id share some pics with you all. I recently picked up a Blackhawk shell by BittyDesign, the shell is designed to fit all SCT trucks available so as such has a decent WB.

anyways ill let the pics do the talking

after some triming and fitting of axial "blue"springs this is the result

and a mounting method i came up with to use the existing mount holes

now i still need to extended the body posts up to secure the shell to the chassis and maybe some more trimming.

more to come

Alright! Looks really doable from those pics...even for someone as frabricatingly unstable as myself! I'm stoked to see how this one comes together.

Well today was reasonably good weather. So i painted the shell up.

Thoughts?

Hell yea! Looks sweet and aggressive. Really dig the purple. Are there any clearance issues with tire rub up front on compression? My Slash had to get a fairly big body lift when I changed to 2.8 wheels and bad lands, so I'm just curious I guess.

At max compression there will be a small amount of rubbing but theres not alot i could do. It has firm ax10 springs all round to lift the suspension and i trimmed the shell as much as possible without losing the truck look.

Line the areas where the tire rubs with some gorilla duct tape. Use it in the high impact areas as well. I use it on my race shells and it has worked well.
