New update. I now have Dust Shield Ver. 2.0. After some more bashing the file folder started rip. So I upgraded the pattern and now use .040" polycarbonate (Lexan) clear sheet to make it. Super strong and now it fits better too. Sorry if I screwed up anything for you guys. Who knew? So check the new version out. Two pieces of flat bar stock and two Vise Grips work wonders when bending this stuff. Been using that method for years.

Is anyone having any cooling issues with these? Already on the verge of running hot now but sick of junk in my chassis.

Ran a U4RC race out at Fear Farm track in Arizona. Air temp was 104. I had to take my shield off after the first heat. Motor temp was way too high. Best to use this when it gets a little cooler. Temps out here get under 100 in October.

[]I like these "firewall" style dust shields! I went a different rout and chopped up an old napsack . I used velcro, Gorilla tape, and velcro zip ties to mount it. I am more mechanically inclined than I am computer savy. Once I figure out how to post a pic I will shoot one up. But, the cover I made is working out great. And it only adds a small amount of weight.

Sharing too. Man does the yeti catch some dirt. Went with a "2-piece v2 design", open down the middle for airflow to the motor. Scrap lexan cutoffs put to use,
