I would say crawler innovations deuces wild foam. I use it with stock tires and wheels or you could get some rpm a arms. They are a cheap upgrade.

MIP driveshaft, FI spool, Axial aluminum motor mount are all nice mods.

+1 on the MIP driveshaft. F1 spool is a good upgrade for when the rear locker quits. I'd be fixing the steering though - VP steering upgrades x3 - posts - bell crank - steering rack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Also the kit includes the steel posts and bearings for the steering unlike the RTR. Last edited by CamaroTom; 02-11-2016 at 01:33 PM. | |

I'd say steering upgrades, too. STRC makes a great bellcrank set-up. Also consider aluminum castor blocks and knuckles. First thing I broke on mine. Maybe stronger hinge pins, too. Stocks bend really easily.

Cblocks and knuckes, mine broke in the first crash. (you may need adjustable turnbuckles) Steering you can put a bearing under the spring and keep it until you upgrade the whole system. The tire foams are also a fantastic and easy upgrade. The other drivetrain parts make more sense if you upgrade the motor/esc, otherwise they last for a good time. |

I upgrade as it breaks. I upgraded my entire steering assembly with a vanquish set up first, then an MIP drive shaft then jumped more snowbanks.

depends on what you're doing, like crawlerrs will prefer weighted rims while speed nuts would prefer plastic, personally as a speed/basher i replace as breaks happen, first was rear axle bent, steering knuckle snapped(went boom racing as was cheaper than OEM once postage was done) and a-arm hinge-pins bent so went and did the traxxas threadless mod i would fix it when you break it so you will get a feel for what parts of your rig are taking your abuse and you can reinforce as needed but can also decide "no i WANT a weak point there so that i don't damage *insert precious part here* " just remember flex prevents snapping, cracking, shattering, and stripping of threads. i'm still fairly newbish but as an engineering student this is my opinion, note: opinion does not equal fact |
