How in the heck did you pop both rod ends off of the trailing arms at the same time? That must have been a giant drop, right on the top of the rear tires (somehow).

It was a very small jump, not a drop. Didn't even get 3ft in the air, must just be repeated small jumps, and maybe they didn't come threaded enough from the factory. (Look at the YouTube video, was doing the same thing when then came off).

that's strange. managed to break both too. But after a lot of tumbles and bad landings. last one was on full speed with round 5 continuous high rolls over all axis ... as i saw that i would bet much more will be damaged. but just the 2 rod ends broke on axle side. losing my drive spline was only issue beside. couldn' find it anymore.

That's one thing I like about the VP arms. Even though it's kinda weird the way the hallow balls are captured there's no rodend to break. I've beat the crap out of mine too. So far so good

Yup. That's why I replaced my RC4WD arms w the Vanquish ones. One solid piece of aluminum is ideal.

I like the rods as weak spot in Mine. Easy, fast and cheap replacement.

Apart from when nowhere has stock of the HD rod ends...

I used to have Dlux trailing arms on my bomber, they were fine, guessing blue monkey ones are too. The proprietary end of the VP ones still puts me off as it's hard to find replacements in the UK.

i have ordered 2 packs of hd rods as i ordered the ssd trailing arms
cause i knew they are my weak point and it's hard to get replacments here in germany as well.
here u can find replacements from an european shop (austria) if u need
Kayhobbies RC Drift Crawler Car Shop RC MST*-*SSD M3 HD Plastic Rod Ends for Trailing Arms (5)
nice guy and can set u up with all ssd parts even if not listed in his shop

Another little video, still got another to upload.

No breakages this time, and I'm making sure all rod ends have the set screw in as far as possible

Bashed it hard, broke another rod end but I'm using traxxas ones now and it was a quick replacement, the bolt acts as a spacer to make them the same length as the SSD HD rod ends.

Towards the end of my last battery the rear driveshaft finally gave out. SSD scale one on order (quicker than MIP as they are in stock here in the UK)
