Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) :lmao: I have my fingers all over this thing more than my first girlfriend... My question is (turbodan, I was looking at your post) ssd 2 speed conversion shift lever definitely has a flop. Is AX31183 truly necessary? http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1503114652 |
Re: From the "tub up" I've always wondered about the differences between a build like this with aluminum everything, vs one with only carefully placed metal bits. I can only imagine that much extra weight will take its toll. Either way, looks good, hope it runs well! |
Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) Okay guys, I need help! Is the axle built wrong? The housing points down and only rotates further down. Probably something silly, my inexperience is showing  http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1503357842 |

Re: From the "tub up" Yep, wrong hole. Move it to the lower hole. The mounts you are using are actually for the RR10 Bomber. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1bda8c4602.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0818abd6ea.jpg |
Re: From the "tub up" Thanks guys for the input....after disassembling and reassembling every possible combination I find that the lower hole on the axle mount makes only a slight difference. This is the product description for the mount..."Vanquish Products AR60 Dual Shock/Link Mounts for AR60 Axles. Shock and link locations are threaded for easier installation. Designed to work with stock AR60 axle housings as well as Vanquish V2 axle housings". It says nothing about being for the Bomber. I'm thinking the problem is with the upper links being to short. I unscrewed a rod end on each one and that lessened the axle downward tilt. The threads on the links are stupidly short so in order to get a "normal " looking rear axle I would have to unscrew the four rod ends about 1/2 way off. So Vanquish titanium upper links are on the way. |
Re: From the "tub up" Your other option would be to use the longer Jato rod ends but that's just asking for rod end failure. Youll be happy with the VP links. I've only busted 2 rodends in a year and I launch my yeti pretty good |
Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) Question for those of you that have SSD 2 speed conversion and Axial shift support AX31183. My servo tie rod has a tllt of 4-8 degrees, it's just a little less than pictured ( nothing is secure yet). I know it's mentioned that it should be as parallel as possible, but will this be ok? http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1503592649 |
Re: From the "tub up" A shoutout to Chris at SSD getting back to me so quickly regarding this and letting me know that it should be ok. It's all about bench testing before hittin' da rocky road. |
Re: From the "tub up" 4 Attachment(s) Starting to get tingly looking forward to scratching it up and getting it dirty. HH motor/esc still weeks away. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1503705372 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1503705372 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1503705372 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1503705372 |

Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) Added GPM front sway bar, probably not needed, but what the heck more bling. This ultimately may be an exercise in futility but maybe not. Minimal crawling/zero jumping. Thinking about going with Pro-Line Ultra Reservoir Shocks 105mm Fr/Re Rock Racers for the front. Seriously considering Motor Option1 x Puller Pro BL 540 Standard 2700kv - Waterproof $125.99 ESC Option1 x Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster BLE Pro Waterproof $134.99 I'm open to opinions. This is a no budget project but my allowance is slow in coming  http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1504388248 |

I'm really enjoying the build, researching wheels and tires now, haven't decided whether to go with panels or body. Maybe both  Looking forward to pictures of your build "thumbsup" |
Re: From the "tub up" Regarding tires may have a look at the hyrax i use them in my AX10. They will be also great at the Yeti with 2 Stage proline foams or CI. The included ones are too soft and without sidewall support. Also nice are the Voodoo klr have the Gold comp. on ssd rockracer. Bombproof ... Rc ... Re: From the "tub up" just saw your post now. a little trick mounting tires on beadlocks. after putting the ring in the tire/foam, let it rest in the fridge for 30min and then screw it together:mrgreen: |
Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) So this is not good right? http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1506365480 |
Re: From the "tub up" I'm returning the Ottsix Voodoos , as nice as they are they won't work. If anyone has Vanquish Rockstars please let me know what tires you are using. |

Re: From the "tub up" Emailed Vanquish and Ottsix....we'll see what happens |
Re: From the "tub up" Clamp rings are the wrong size , Vanquish is sending me new ones. Voodoos are suspect, they are replacing one of the three that ripped. They want me to glue the other two back together. I can see glue repair possibly working for one of the tires (small tear) but the other one will be iffy. Waiting on BSI insta-set before attempting repairs. |
Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) Only able to put one together for now. Happy with it so far:mrgreen: Emailed Vanquish to say that I think they should replace Voodoos due to wrong clamp rings tearing up the tires. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1506727798 |
Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) Repaired one of the torn Voodoos (not happy with Vanquish giving me the wrong clamp rings, but they sent me the right ones) put it together and it seems okay. I'll see what happens with the repaired tires when the rubber hits the ground. One more repair to go and one replacement in the mail. This project is so deep into the wallet that I went ahead and ordered another set of Voodoos just in case the repaired tires fall. Hoping to order power plant next week :ror: Kudos and respect to all the crawlers and climbers out there, but mine is going to be a rat chaser. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1506833582 |
Re: From the "tub up" 2 Attachment(s) I'm not really thrilled with the stickers  XXXmain sent the wrong ones anyway. I probably leave it black with a few sponsors. But what's hilarious is that they threw in an extra set of stickers that's not even available on their website. My wife is giving me the stink eye about them.:lmao: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1507074298 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1507074298 |

Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) Got my Voodoo replacements "thumbsup" Guys, I need guidance, I'm a nimrod when it comes to shocks. In order to install the Pro-Line Ultra Reservoirs the shafts compress about 40-50%, is that acceptable? Also the only way I can get the cage on is by using the innermost top position. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1507158764 |
Re: From the "tub up" How long are those shocks? Seems like a waist. What is the cage contacting when you try to put it on? If it's the reservoirs, try flipping them 180 so the reservoirs are on the inside instead of the outside... |
Re: From the "tub up" 1 Attachment(s) Shocks are 105mm, can't be turned 180 Longer body posts and innermost mount only way to put cage on.:x http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1507162548 |
Re: From the "tub up" That's not much longer than the powerstrokes I run on mine. Are the reservoirs causing the clearance issue? I see how they can't be flipped because of the bumper springs. It doesn't look like it's dropping out much while on the stand. |

I'm mostly concerned about how compressed the shafts are. Is droop my problem? Do I adjust tie rods? http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1507166211 http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1507166211 |
