what is required to mount this? Do you make the arm for stock mount too, or just off set? Using split packs, will it clear them?

Have you changed the design at all to get rid of the stress risers in the tie rod?

which section are you referring to? There have been 3 revisions of the design while I was selling it, V1 had some clearance issues, v2 corrected these with milling, V3 redesigned the tie rod to clear and added cooling vents to the servo tray. With the approx 250-300 kits I sold, I only saw 2 or 3 issues and they were all fitment issues related to the use of Axial brand knuckles. This was a minor toeout issue. The original sales thread is still active and is a good reference to anyone looking to purchase.

Not a huge deal killer, just never quite liked seeing that in the design. Last edited by Harley; 08-25-2009 at 08:58 AM.

LDRP did some minor cosmetic changes to the design that I have seen. I believe he did radius those areas but I don't have the file at work with me to be sure.

I am working on a version that will have a radius in that inside corner. The 10 or so currently in stock at RPP Hobby are the older style with the 90 degree corner. I hope to have the new version on the shelf in a few weeks. I will let everyone know when the new version is available. -Jim

| M3 screws and nuts. Some stock Axial hardware will be the same (tray to axle flathead screws). The "arm" or tie rod is designed to work with the servo off to one side. I recommend you use a single pack mounted to the side as shown in the picture. |

| flex/twisting
Has any one noticed that the axle mounting points for the servo plate flex or twists. I am not using the bracket for the top links mount, I am using the hole where the battery mounts over the axle using a spacer. It is not an epa setting becuase it twists at half of the servos travel. Any ideas

Has any one lowered their mounts to get a better CG like this? Last edited by racerfred; 12-17-2009 at 04:32 PM. |

I have the older bta kit and I love it, still using it as of now. I will buy the newer version when it comes out for sure.

Quick question: Will this kit work with the Vanquish high steer knuckles?

I don't have the high steering, but I added tall spacers on the steering to act like high steering.... so the answer is pretty much yes, it should work .

glad to see you used the suggestion of adding the battery strap notch. I had planned to do it but, never had time to get it added to the design.
