The motor plate is made out of 2.5 mm carbon fiber with a matte finish and comes with 3 black oxide flat head M3x30 mm screws.

Got two of these on the way, and can't wait for them to show up! These are going in a scale rig, so the torture test is coming. I'd like to see a thicker version in the future as well, with the mentioned extra mounting boss location included in the design. For now though, I'm stoked on these.

Just got mine in the mail. Tobias, you knocked these outta the park! The matte finish, the machining...I just can't set them down. I'll hit the edges of them with a little CA tonight to seal them, and get them installed on my new trans for a few pics. Thanks for everything!

Ok, then I change the design and see which thickness is the maximum you can have before the plates hits the slipper plate. Perhaps 4 mm could be possible.

4mm would be awesome, but maybe a tad overkill? There should be plenty of room behind the slipper for a plate of 4mm thickness regardless. You already know I'll buy two of the HD version if it becomes a reality. I can just set these two aside for a few of the lighter weight rigs I'll soon be building. I think the current version would live just fine in a heavy scaler, but a little more beef would always be a welcome improvement. As I've stated in the past, destruction won't be the issue, deflection will.

Finally got a chance to Sharpie/CA the edges on the motor plate and get it installed. RRP steel gears, RRP delrin spur, locked spur hub (as long as it lasts...), stripped and polished trans spacers, and stainless hardware. The button heads on the spur hub are filthy and a tad short, but will be replaced soon. Very happy with the weight drop, and the clean nature of this motor plate!

Looks like my camera did a piss-poor job again...sorry Tabias. Something about reflections make this thing hate life. Time for a polarizing filter I guess.

I am sorry to say that these are like in the picture with 3 screws. I have never come around to got time time make the new version.
