| bingo and the prize goes to gone_wheelin...if you look at the pics you can see the spill way. I have live in this area for 33 years and in all this I have only seen 3 rattlers and they are no longer in any shape to bite anyone. But, you should be aware that you are playing in there house and watch for them. They would rather run than bite, ok slither. You can also get to Mk West creek from there. Wait a few until the creek has less water. Good wheelin to be had there too. Just be respectful of private prop. There area with the rocks is open space. sorry to any PITA and other snake huggers but a dead rattler wont bite Last edited by Rockhabit; 04-04-2008 at 11:27 AM. Reason: animal/reptile rights |

Great spot....see there are spots to got to. Just gotta look. I found a cool creek and ditch on a small country rd near Calistoga. Not a lot enterainment for 20 mins and its free) but just a fun place to tune the suspension. Every time I cruse back rds I look for spots. Not as many, I am sure as there used to be.To many people now live in Sonoma cnty. So we have to go further to find them. That 101 bridge is a Diamond in the ruff. Just gotta share them and respect peoples property and privacy. Also be aware of snakes....

went "back to the bridge" today to take some pics of the bruiser before its all scratched up. This is becoming a popular place, which is great. We've got to get another unofficial get-together going again. |

To be honest Jake, I didn't even reopen the box 'till after 9. It's all hooked up and I crawled the couch without any glitching...I will be in today.

I haven't checked yet but do you, or anyone else for that matter, know if the JR XS3's third channel switch can be programmed for more than just 2 position or linear? I'm thinking 3 positions for the VF, engaged, neutral and dis-engaged. | |

Pete: Bring 'er on down and let's tune it up! Frank: You're welcome, and thank you! Ethan: It all depends on which version you have. Some can only do two positions, some can do three. You may be able to mod it and install a three way switch? |

I'll check the manual and see what settings the third channel switch has.

I'm finishing up all the panels .... Cemented the last one tonight and have just a little more painting to do .... Remember, it's gonna be on the warm side, so plan accordingly .... It will be one of the first days in the 80's for us Tech opens at 9:30, comp to start shortly after a 10:00am drivers meeting. |

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen ..... Was that a cool crawler day, or what? Actually, it was kinda hot out! What a beautiful day for the first JPH comp. I hope the rest of you remembered your sunblock, cause my neck is burnt! I certainly learned a lot about hosting a crawler comp. We had a few growing pain issues, one of which was the scoring. I do apologize for this, and it will be done in a different fashion next comp. I spent time going over each results sheet, a lot of time really, and I do feel the results are good. I'm very tired now, so I'll keep this short (with a better recap coming soon!). I would really like some feedback about the comp, the courses, the panels, etc ... Shoot me an e-mail, give me a call, or stop bye the shop and let's chat about the day. A big thanks to everyone who showed up to run the comp today. And, to those who lent an extra hand with things, thank you very much! Just wanted to throw out a huge thank you out to Jake for putting on a great event today! For me it was the perfect end to a very long week. I'm sure my "score" was into the triple-digits, but I was having to much fun to care.;) Thanks to everybody for a great day, and hopefully the next one is not to far off. |
