I was gonna go around noon time today and Muscle just put up the directions. I have been there before and remember nice wooded trails with rock outcropings and stream crossings. Worth a look and my scaler is runnin.

Took pics and got some great vid. That place is killer for trail riding loads of fun. Cost 3 bucks to park but well worth it. I will get it up soon.

that's great. Trail driving is my favorite anyway. the techy stuff is fun but sometimes frustrating. looking at the map that is the furthest from my house and vine st. is much closer, and balboa park is the closest to me. shoot i could walk there if i wanted. my back yard is real easy to get to, but gets old.

That spot looks real fun. May have to take a trip up that way. Your scaler is red and it used to be yellow?

If you head west on Friars road out of mission/fashion valley there are some really nice rocks on the right between napa and pacific coast hwy:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&country=US&popflag=0&lati tude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&addtohistory= &cat=&address=5000+friars+road&city=san+diego&stat e=ca

Those familiar with fiesta island might recognize this place.
There is a huge parking lot, under the first over pass tends to
be kinda trashy, but the other on at the end of the lot is alot nicer.
all kinds of stuff from dirt and rock to just rocks only.

Check out the pic's: http://home.san.rr.com/cosmiccreeper

In the first pick you see alot of rocks and hte trash I mentioned, but the out side pics are cool
in hte dirt and rocks and stuff.

I went over to Vine st. when you guys say go to the end are you talking by the interstate, in between the fenced area next to the rental place? Semi's and sh!t parked nearby.

Or the park that's on vine street?

Yes At the north end you park then walk opening in the fences.

Brock it sounds like you found the place. park near or in the dead end turn around and walk north over the bank and left or west on the bike path. we were under the bridge.

Default ride pending

I have a ride to the comp this sunday. My friend Charles and his two little girls, age 4-7 and I, are going up in his convertible mustang sunday morning.
See you there.

I thought I was in the right place but wasn't sure.
When's the next GTG I'll try to make it out?

A pic of my rig after I first built it.
I need to get an updated pic. I'm running Proline
Giant Trac tires and a Orange Power Wagon Body.

Also is this the area on Vine st.
The Red square marks the turn around.
The bridge is to the left?
Click the pic to make it bigger.

Oh I did a ride thru on Mission Trails Regional Park it has promise, I'll have to take a closer look when I have my crawler with me, and maybe scout around, but looks nice. I'll update with pic's when I get a chance.

Mission trails is a great spot.. but the ranger may say you can't rc there. try it and see what happens, and lets us know how it goes.

Heard there is a place in balboa park to crawl?
Anyone know where?

I'm looking for a place to do some crawling tommorrow, if all else fails I'll go to the place on friars rd i posted before. Or maybe behind staples in mission valley next to the san diego river.
